Earth hour is a program that supports the world’s largest public environmental action that acknowledges our commitments with actions that benefits the planet in the year ahead. This global phenomenon has been previously participated by many other countries in the world.
As for this year, SRM in collaboration with HSE Week 2011 will organise a celebration on Earth Hour 2011 in UTP. This event will be held on Saturday, March 26 at the pathway between v3 and v4 village at 8.30 - 9.30 pm where a few activities awaits the students there.
The main objective of this program is to show our support towards the worldwide environmental campaign which involves a global phenomenon. By this way, it is hoped to create and increase awareness of UTP students to be more responsible and nurture the love towards our nature and environment. Participating in Earth Hour is a great way to show our genuine care about our future and support this global call to stand up to show our accountability for our future.
Don’t forget to switch off your lights and electrical devices for one hour on Saturday, March 26 and join us at v3/v4 pathway for a simple celebration at 8.30 pm.
1 person has the power to make change..But when we all come together, we can change the world..It starts on March 26 when we turn off our lights for earth hour..Now imagine what’s gonna happen if we go beyond the hour!
