UTP students are expected to experience better coverage of network accessibility starting this new January 2011 semester. So far, what is happening is another way round. There are few modifications that are being taken pertaining network since the holiday. But then, until now no final solutions have been taken. Everything is getting worse. Are the students deserved for that?
On 25th January, MPPUTP represented by Mr.President Saudara Hamzah Nawawi associated by Exco 1 Welfare Saudara Zakirin had done such a quick action by having conversations with Mr. Arfaishah from ITMS for further justification.
Official internet provider, JARING is now encountering a problem with one of two control systems thus causes the internet to slow down. At this moment, they are fixing the problem and it may take couple of days to solve.
Currently, UTP students are sharing the bandwidth of internet connection approximately 100 Mbs on average. With this rate, student actually shouldn’t have any problem. The trouble might come from the students themselves. Actually the ITMS had already implemented a proxy to counter the users with high usage. Students are required to use this proxy to access the internet by following the steps mentioned. Should you have any problem with the proxy setting, please inform ITMS to fix the problems.

There has been rumors that some irresponsible and selfish kids are doing those 'tunneling' work that might cause the slow internet connection. Maybe we should be find all this guys and give them a hit on their head so that they know what they're doing. Should we shift our fingers to them now?
